PROACTIVE is the Word of the Month!
In preparation for Google’s Page Experience update (See last month’s explanation), I have updated and prepped all client sites. Besides the RWD clients that are under the ‘Proactive WordPress Maintenance’ program, I have also logged into each client’s Google Search Console account and verified your site’s health.
Google usually does NOT give ANY advance notice for most algorithm updates; They just update their algorithm and let the SEO professionals try to figure out what needs to be fixed. Google has given the SEO community some 3-4 months advance notice and told us what they will be looking for. This is QUITE RARE!
Google Search Console (formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools) are tools and reports that help you measure your site’s search traffic and performance, fix issues, and make your site shines in Google search results. Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your site’s presence in Google Search results.
Who should use Search Console? Business owners: Even if you won’t be using Search Console yourself, you should be aware of it, become familiar with the basics of optimizing your site for search engines, and know what features are available in Google Search.
SEO specialists or marketers: As someone focused on online marketing, Search Console will help you monitor your website traffic, optimize your ranking, and make informed decisions about the appearance of your site’s search results.
Site administrators: As a site admin, one cares about the healthy operation of your site. Search Console lets you easily monitor and in some cases resolve server errors, site load issues, and security issues like hacking and malware.
